aty Clark, MP for North Ayrshire and Arran, visited Bonnymans last Friday to see firsthand the work the business does.
Bonnymans, based in Beith, produces and sells a range of cleaning chemicals including disinfectants, janitorial products, and vehicle cleaning chemicals. The firm employs over 50 people in the local area.
Katy Clark MP said;
“Over the last few months the Bonnymans Managing Director has attended a number of events which I have helped host and I have became aware of a number of issues which may affect the company in the future including changes to EU directives. I have raised these issues with the appropriate bodies and hope to support the company through these matters.”
“On Friday I got the opportunity to visit their workplace, meet staff and see their operation in practice. It was a fascinating visit.”
“Bonnymans has created jobs for local people and this is what we need more of in North Ayrshire. As the Local Member of Parliament I am delighted to support Bonnymans and any other business which helps create jobs in my constituency.”
Stephen Allam, Managing Director of Bonnymans, added;
“On Friday the management team was pleased to host a visit from Katy Clark MP. Katy has been a great help with the complex directives that Scottish chemical manufacturers have to address over the next two years.”
“Bonnymans have grown from a one man business in the 80’s to employing over 50 full time staff now and it is vital that we receive assistance with the growing European Legislation from local and national government.”
